MAMMOTH Opener!

I made the trip up north this weekend for Mammoth opener!  It was an amazing time had fun checking out all the live music from Blondfire, LA Riots and the one and only RZA!  To make the trip even better it snowed!  Nice, light, fluffy snow that stayed playful through the weekend.  The trip was a success, if you have never made it to Mammoth Mountain you need to step out side your box and step up your game.  The people are great the terrain is better and the views will take your breath away.
(Below) First picture of snow this season from my old house.

The Ledgend... Peter Line

Let me just say if you don't know who Peter Line is, and you snowboard, you better do your homework!  I have had the pleasure of meeting this man, and let me say he is extremely humble.  Peter Line was apart of the original Forum 8, the best team still know to man!  He helped start Foursquare, and Forum many years ago.  My favorite snowboard part is still his in, Forum The Resistance.  Check it out if you ever have the chance.  Here is a little video clip for your viewing pleasure.  Enjoy the Fear and Loathing reference and song by Ween, "I'll be your Johnny on the Spot".  Just gives you a feel of how bad ass this man is!

ART!

Robert “Sticky” Shaw | “I Love you with a knife – Hotel Chelsea” 40×40″ mixed media on canvas.

Here is some art that has been displayed at the AR4T Gallery located at 210 North Pacific Coast Highway Laguna Beach, Ca 9265.  Robert "Sticky" Shaws art has been apart of the action sport world for years now.  His art is heavily influenced by travel, music, street art, drug experimentation and love. Stickys art show in 2010 was supported by JLA, Volcom, Bliss Magazine, and Vitamin Water.  It is because of this particular show I was fortunate enough to learn of him.   Defiantly keep a look out for more of his beautiful creations and shows .

Never Summer!

As I am in Colorado right now I feel it is appropriate to give Never Summer Snowboards props!  They are a Denver, Colorado based snowboard company since 1983, they have been committed to keeping this company US based.  Their employees dedication to quality and creative shapes and graphics is in my opinion unsurpassed.  I'm yet to destroy one of their decks in a season, I don't suspect it will happen anytime soon.  Sure they don't have the hype like such companies as, LibTec or Burton, but don't underestimate their snappy, pressy, poppy construction!  All boards I have rode are amazing in the area in which they are designed for.
